Ghachar Ghochar by Vivek Shanbhag

If you are searching for a plot or a scheme, then this isn’t the sort of book. This story talks about a common man and his helplessness in the day-to-day transpirations, wherein he is always found entagled and this is merely by choice. The translation in English is beautiful and at no point feels imposed. This is a very Indian story, true to its basic sense. Within 100 pages, Shanbhag enthralls you with his playwright skills.
