The Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie has been my favourite crime-fiction author from my pre-teen days. She could never cease to amaze me with her well-crafted plots. This one in particular is a play by Dame Agatha Christie, novelised by Charles Osbrone.

As one anticipates, this story starts of in an intiguing fashion and build its pace eventually and comes across as a generic whodunnit. I confess that this was my second reading (having read the first time several years ago, not recalling this fact and accidently buying the second copy of the book, uh!), nevertheless I could torpidly presume who the culprit was. But it isn’t a bad book either. A short read for the approaching spring, perhaps!

I have read better stories by Agatha Christie and this does not come nowhere near the benchmark set by The Murder On The Orient Express and Then There Were None. Hands down, best whodunnits EVER!
